Overview
Members of chambers are instructed for both Claimants and Defendants from County Courts through to the Court of Appeal providing advisory, drafting and advocacy services.
Claimant work includes such areas as road traffic accidents, employers’ liability, public liability and other claims such as sporting injuries and Animals Act claims. Members are instructed in cases from those on the Small Claims Track through to significant Multi Track claims including those arising out of catastrophic injuries.
Defendant work covers similar areas and values with instructions coming through a variety of insurer clients. Chambers also advise Jersey advocates in relation to claims including significant cases of catastrophic injuries.
Clinical negligence work covers all areas including negligent advice and treatment (including operative procedures).
Chambers benefit from a wide range of experience which includes not only personal injury claims, but also dealing with inquests and Health and Safety prosecutions. That ensures that practical advice is available at all stages of claims.
Members of chambers are regularly involved in ADR in both personal injury and clinical negligence including mediations and joint settlement meetings.
Members regularly lecture on law and civil procedure including topics directly.
