Family

Overview

Our Family Law barristers represent clients in Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Canterbury and the wider south-east region as well as London. Family law barristers at Six Pump Court offer expertise across the broad spectrum of family law with barristers at all levels of seniority.

We have specialist barristers for care proceedings, for example, whilst other barristers undertake predominantly financial work. What we all have in common, however, is that we are confident and polished advocates. We consider it a great strength that many members of our team, having trained at Six Pump Court, have undertaken criminal work in the first few years of practice and are therefore highly skilled in cross examination. This is invaluable should a case proceed all the way to trial.

Most of our barristers have practised, and some continue to practise in civil law. Again, we consider this a strength, particularly when dealing with financial cases involving companies and trusts. We are keenly aware that legal costs can spiral in poorly managed cases and strive to ensure that the financial implications of litigation are considered at every stage in the legal process.

We undertake direct access work in all areas of family law across London, Kent and the south-east. For more information please contact the Clerks. We can accommodate meetings at our offices in London and Maidstone

Our team of family law barristers also include experienced mediators. For more information please contact the Clerks.

We lecture on all aspects of family law. Members of our team regularly hold seminars for solicitors and we have also lectured to the judiciary and to local authorities. For details please contact the Clerks.
