Professional negligence

Overview

Chambers’ experience in professional negligence (in addition to its experience in clinical negligence) mirrors the broad scope of its expertise in other areas.

Claims against lawyers are dealt with both in terms of negligent advice, negligent conduct of litigation (for example in relation to missed limitation periods) and non contentious matters such as conveyancing and similar issues. In particular, claims in relation to such matters as planning and Listed Building advice are handled by members of chambers as well as claims relating to environmental issues such as advice in relation to environmental searches. Such cases cover claims against planning professionals, solicitors and others including structural engineers.
