Overview

Six Pump Court Chambers has long-established and highly valued working relationships with local authorities throughout England and Wales.

Many of our members, at all levels of seniority, have considerable experience of advising and representing councils. Many have also gained experience of local government legal work through in-house secondments during their pupillage and early practice. So, we understand and are responsive to the particular requirements of our local authority clients, and the pressures under which they operate.

As a genuinely mixed set, with barristers practising across the civil and criminal spheres (including specialist public lawyers) we are able to offer experienced practitioners in most of the areas of law falling within local government responsibility, including:
