Jessica joined Chambers in October 2022, following successful completion of her pupillage. During her pupillage year she was supervised by Gordon Menzies, Simon Taylor KC and Grace Cullen, gaining experience across a number of Chambers’ practice areas.
Before joining chambers, Jessica worked in the family department at Mishcon de Reya LLP assisting on complex private children and high value financial remedy cases. She now has a growing family law practice across private children and financial disputes, with cases that often involve an element of domestic abuse and coercive and controlling behaviour.
As part of her civil practice, Jessica regularly accepts instructions on taxi/private hire licencing appeals. She was recently successful in appealing two cases at The Old Bailey in one day. Her civil practice often has family law crossover; she has experience in seeking disclosure from family proceedings on behalf of the police for concurrent criminal investigations. Jessica’s regular civil work for the police also extends to applications under the Police Property Act 1897, the Proceeds of Crime Act 2022 and applications for behavioural orders involving stalking, harassment, domestic abuse and sexual harm.
Jessica has an expanding public law and inquiry practice and is instructed in the COVID-19 Inquiry on behalf of the DHSC.
She accepts instructions in all areas of Family, Crime and Civil Law.
