Supreme Court allows wife’s appeal in Birch v Birch

Stephen Hockman QC and Jane Campbell represented the appellate wife in the case of Birch v Birch heard in the UK Supreme Court earlier this year. The case concerned the discharge of undertakings given in a final consent order made in financial remedy proceedings.

The Supreme Court granted the wife’s appeal and remitted for urgent hearing her application to be released from an undertaking in recitals to a consent order made on 28 July 2010.
