Settlement in £9 million tetraplegia claim

Richard Barraclough QC instructed by Mr Joe McManus of Messrs Kennedys has advised and represented the defence in a £9 million tetraplegia claim which has just settled before the trial date which had been fixed for October.

The principal issue of the case reflected the recent setting of the discount rate at -0.75% and its impact on the desirability of a periodical payments order.
