Trends in Litigation: Climate Change and Environmental Challenges

Stephen Hockman KC will be chairing this event on 6th December hosted by UKELA’s Climate Change and Energy Working Party, together with their Environmental Litigation Working Party.
Speakers include Professor Joana Setzer, Assistant Professorial Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, at LSE, Laura Clarke, Chief Executive Officer of Client Earth and Vanessa Havard-Williams, Partner, Global Head of Environment & Climate Change at Linklaters LLP.
The talks will provide analysis of the trends evolving from recent climate change litigation. They will assess the conclusions that can be drawn from court determinations and whether this type of litigation can play a part, alongside legislative and policy initiatives, in helping to achieve net zero goals
The event will take place on 6th December at the offices of Irwin Mitchell (40 Holborn Viaduct, London EC1N 2PZ) and begin at 6pm
