Richard Barraclough QC and Gordon Menzies prosecute case involving death of woman from slimming pills

On 14th May Richard Barraclough QC and Gordon Menzies (for the prosecution) began the trial at the Inner London Crown Court of three individuals charged with an offence under the Food Safety and Hygiene (England ) Regulations 2013 and manslaughter by unlawful act and gross negligence after they offered for sale on the internet a so called slimming agent by the name of DNP and which is alleged to have caused the death of a vulnerable young woman.
