Maidstone Murder Trial – Jury Retire. John FitzGerald and Suzanne Fewins act for Defendant

John and Suzanne represent NM, a 42 year old female accused of murdering her allegedly abusive partner. The deceased was found dead in his flat in Strood, Kent with a carving knife in his back. He had 9 other knife injuries. NM initially told police she was not responsible but later admitted the killing, but denied she was not acting in self-defence or that she intended to cause him really serious harm. Although she accepts causing the injuries, NM claims to have no memory of doing so. After a trial lasting over 4 weeks, the jury has retired to consider their verdicts.
