Suzanne was called to the bar by the Inner Temple in 2020. She joined Chambers in March 2023 having completed the final stages of pupillage in 2021.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Suzanne qualified as a solicitor in 2015 with Higher Rights of Audience and duty solicitor status.
Suzanne both prosecutes and defends and has developed a successful criminal practice.
Suzanne is also instructed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Notable Cases:
R v B – Defended at trial for one count of assisting an offender. A multi-handed case whereby B had allegedly assisted their co-defendant by accommodating him following a shooting. B’s co-defendant faced a number of charges including attempted murder and firearms offences. B’s case was that he had no knowledge of his co-defendant’s involvement in the shooting. B was acquitted after a 5 week trial. (Central Criminal Court)
R v M – Defended at trial for one count of possession of criminal property. M was a taxi driver who was found in possession of £86,000 in cash placed inside a carrier bag in his taxi. The cash was the proceeds of criminal conduct, specifically through the supply of illegal drugs (by another). M’s case was that he had no knowledge of what was inside the bag, nor did he know or suspect that the bag contained criminal property. The defendant was acquitted. (Snaresbrook Crown Court)
R v K & Others – Instructed as Junior Prosecution Counsel in a 3 handed case concerning offences of blackmail, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, conspiracy to kidnap, robbery and threatening another with a bladed article. The trial continued for 8 weeks. (Kingston Crown Court)
R v B – Prosecuted at trial for one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
R v S – Prosecuted at trial for possession of a stun gun and ammonia.
R v V & Others – Prosecuted at trial in a 3 handed case of conspiracy to burgle.
