Water Law Seminar

On Tuesday of this week, Mark Watson KC, Lisa Roberts KC, Charles Morgan, and Nicholas Ostrowski led an insightful seminar on recent developments in Water Industry Law, chaired by Stephen Hockman KC.

Discussions covered key cases such as Manchester Ship Canal Co Ltd v United Utilities, the introduction of unlimited Variable Monetary Penalties, and emerging criminal law themes affecting utilities and water quality. They also covered key regulatory updates from OFWAT, Defra, the Environment Agency, and the Office for Environmental Protection.
