Tanya Robinson Defendant Acquitted of All Charges Following Canterbury Crown Court Trial

Tanya represented a defendant who was acquitted on 21/1/26 of multiple counts of rape and allegations of physical assault following a trial at Canterbury Crown Court.
The prosecution alleged that the defendant, a married publican, had attacked, exploited, controlled and abused over a prolonged period, a younger male who had become his employee,
The defendant claimed there was a consensual relationship throughout and that the allegations of violence and abuse were untrue. The case required careful handling of sensitive evidence including video footage, and rigorous testing of the prosecution case which included alleged eyewitnesses to violence.
Following the trial, the jury returned unanimous verdicts of not guilty on all counts.
