April 22, 2025

Danny Moore KC leading Emin Kandola in his first murder trial as King’s Counsel at Canterbury Crown Court secures an acquittal of murder.
In the days before trial the prosecution rearranged the indictment and elevated Mr Moore KC’s client to D1. This meant Mr Moore KC had responsibility for cross-examining the two principal witnesses to the murder.
Following those cross-examinations, the prosecution reviewed the case and accepted a plea on a limited basis to manslaughter.
Sentencing and full summary of case to follow. The incident involved the deceased and his group approaching MH and his group in Canterbury City Centre. It was alleged that the deceased said “one of us will die tonight”, before he attacked MH. Thereafter a short, fast paced incident of violence ensued resulting in the deceased suffering a single stab wound to the heart.
