Murder Conviction in Wind in the Willows Trial

Michael Danaher was yesterday convicted of the murder of the rare book dealer Adrian Greenwood and sentenced to Life Imprisonment with a minimum term of 34 years. The case was prosecuted by a team led by Oliver Saxby QC. The jury in the 3-week trial had heard detailed evidence relating to the defendant’s movements and internet activity over a 9-month period, culminating in his attendance at Mr Greenwood’s address on 6th April 2016. As to the killing itself, there was complex blood spatter and pathological evidence relating to the blood distribution found at the scene and the injuries caused.
