August 19, 2026

The defendant was accused of sexually assaulting his then 7-year-old son. The allegation was primarily made by the young boy and supported by his mother who described walking into a bedroom where she found the defendant in bed with their son and observed him engage in the act of a sexual assault. The case involved cross-examination of the complainant pursuant to s.28.

Following a two-day trial at Canterbury Crown Court, the defendant was acquitted.

James was instructed by Donna Wilde of Tony Harden Solicitors.
