David Travers QC lectures in Brazil on food fraud and integrity issues

David Travers QC has returned from a trip to Brazil organised by the Bar Council in collaboration with the Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil and Lex Anglo Brasil. David took part in panel discussions in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro about corruption and financial crime before speaking in Bello Horizonte about food fraud. His lecture, with a nod to the Carne Fraca investigation, was entitled: “The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak – Protecting trade and the consumer in the food sector”. He addressed food fraud and food integrity issues in Brazil, Europe and the rest of the world before moderating a discussion involving Brazilian lawyers and technical experts as well as members of the Bar Council’s delegation.
