Coronavirus (Covid-19) – visitors to Chambers

March 18, 2020

In the current environment our staff and barristers are working hard to ensure our service levels are maintained and minimise risk to all of our clients, staff and barristers.

Our clerking team and our barristers remain available and can be contacted in the usual way by phone or by email – details of which are here

In all cases where possible we are encouraging telephone and video calls rather than face-to-face meetings between clients and our barristers.

Exceptionally, where it proves necessary to visit Chambers, reasonable steps are taken to protect your safety and the safety of our staff and barristers.

We are following Government Guidance closely and would please ask that all potential visitors are aware of that Guidance and follow it.

To this end, please refrain from visiting Chambers if you have:-

  • A high temperature (you feel hot to touch on your chest or back) and/or a new continuous cough (this means you’ve started coughing repeatedly)
  • Had contact with a person exhibiting coronavirus symptoms and/or a confirmed patient in the last 14 days
  • Visited those areas listed by the Government which require you to stay indoors and avoid contact with other people
  • Visited any other high risk area, which has been identified by the Government, in the last 14 days

Based on government guidance which can be found here
