Letting agent represented by Stuart Jessop successful in appeal against house in multiple occupation

Stuart Jessop recently represented a letting agent in his successful appeal to the Crown Court against a sentence imposed by Thames Magistrates Court.

The Appellant had pleaded guilty to four offences under the Housing Act 2004, concerning licensing in respect of Houses in Multiple Occupation, and sentenced to a total of £22,000. The court reduced the fine to £10,000 and made for defence costs to be paid out of central funds
