Private Nuisance Litigation Masterclass

11th July 2017

Our series of Masterclass Environmental Law Seminars continues next month with a second seminar,  Private Nuisance Litigation Masterclass to be held on 11th July.

The first of these seminars was entitled Environmental Permitting Masterclass and was held on 29th June.

Second Masterclass Seminar:-

Private Nuisance Litigation Masterclass: How can nuisance claims be best defended or the consequences mitigated?

Environmental claims in nuisance are on the increase again.  Claimant lawyers appear to have regained confidence post-Jackson.  These are strict liability claims which are difficult to defend and the costs in multi-party actions remain high.  You are invited to hear the views of specialist practitioners and to discuss, following Jackson and Fen Tigers (UKSC), whether these claims have become any easier to defend. If they are not, then how the consequences for defendants best be mitigated.  The seminar will give both claimant and defendant perspectives.

Further detail on the content of the seminar is provided in the attached flyer here.
