Emin Kandola Secures Acquittal in multi-handed Armed Robbery.
July 1, 2026

The prosecution alleged that at around 9pm in January 2025, four men went to a property in Gillingham where they forced entry armed with hammers and knives before seriously injuring two occupants.
The defence argued that the incident was instead a drug transaction that escalated into violence, rather than a planned robbery. It was claimed that one of the complainants produced counterfeit banknotes during the exchange at the front door, triggering a fight involving all those present, during which both sides sustained injuries. The drugs were ultimately handed over in lieu of payment.
Following the incident, police pursued the defendants in a high-speed chase involving helicopters. The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed into a barrier, after which the occupants fled on foot and climbed onto the roof of a building. They remained there for several hours before being brought down with the assistance of the fire service using a crane.
Following a two week trial, the jury unanimously acquitted all defendants.
Emin acted for the first defendant.
Emin was instructed by Ghulam Humayun of Central Chambers Law.
