Eleanor Laws QC to attend cross party inquiry into child sexual exploitation
October 4, 2014
Eleanor Laws QC will be taking part in a cross party inquiry at Westminster into child sexual exploitation which will investigate the effectiveness of legislation for tackling child sexual exploitation and trafficking within the UK. It will be chaired by Ann Coffey, Stockport MP and chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Runaway and Missing Children and Adults.
The Inquiry will speak to agencies, experts, victims and their families, as well as drawing together the range of reports published both on the case itself, and the broader issue of child sexual exploitation. Where possible evidence will be held in public. The inquiry will then report back with recommendations on how agencies can work better together to respond effectively to the issue.
