Daniel Stevenson prosecutes attempted murder of girl stabbed 22 times

Daniel Stevenson was instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service in the case of R v Shaba. The Defendant was convicted of attempting to murder a 17 year old girl by stabbing her 22 times in her bedroom at an address in Dartford. The victim received injuries to her subclavian artery, a stab wound to her lung causing a collapsed lung, and a stab wound to her abdomen causing internal bleeding. She was millimetres from death. The victim’s mother fought off the attack, receiving knife wounds in the process. The Defendant denied being the person responsible. He was unanimously convicted in three hours. The Defendant will be sentenced in August.
