Daniel Stevenson appointed as a Circuit Judge

November 6, 2025

We are very pleased to congratulate Daniel Stevenson on his recent appointment as a Circuit Judge.

The King has appointed Daniel Stevenson to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Maidstone Crown Court with effect from 10 November 2025.

Daniel Stevenson will be known as His Honour Judge Stevenson. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2002. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2023 and was a member of Chambers until he was appointed as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in July 2025.

Friends and colleagues in Chambers have offered their very best wishes for every success in his new role.
