Black Taxis in High Court challenge to decision to grant Uber their licence
February 13, 2019
Robert Griffiths QC and Stuart Jessop will represent the United Cabbies Group on behalf of the United Taxi Action Group in the High Court today in the Claimant’s challenge to the Chief Magistrate’s decision in June last year to grant Uber London Limited a Private Hire Vehicle Operators licence.
The case will be heard by The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Burnett and Mr Justice Supperstone and is listed to last one and half days. The Claimant contends that the decision was tainted by bias and a second ground, that the Chief Magistrate did not make a finding that Uber was a fit and proper person.
