Rebecca is an experienced and accredited international commercial arbitrator and arbitration counsel with expertise in commercial disputes resolution and international business law. She is an Associate Member of Six Pump Court and a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, London.
Besides having previously worked as an Advocate & Solicitor in Malaya, she has held senior legal leadership roles in major global corporations in Asia including MNCs listed publicly in the USA, UK, HK, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Based in London now, she understands Asia very well. Rebecca is multi-lingual and speaks numerous Asian languages (including Mandarin and Malay) besides fluent English. Rebecca has established herself in the specialised domains of international business disputes, sale of goods and services, commodities trading, oil & gas, and maritime industries. Rebecca is also a Certified Sanctions Specialist, certified and highly skilled to advise on sanctions imposed by the UK, USA, EU, UN, and Singapore.
International arbitration
Rebecca accepts party and institutional appointments in both ad hoc and institutionally administered arbitrations She is part of the panel of arbitration institutions such as SIAC (Reserved Panel), AIAC, AIADR, and the ICC Singapore Arbitration Group which receives prospective appointment of arbitrator from the ICC Court.
Rebecca is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (“SIArb”), the MIArb and AIADR. Rebecca sat in the Council of the SIArb for four consecutive years (2018-2022) and she is now a serving member of ICC Taskforce on “ADR & Arbitration” and “ICC Commission on Arbitration & ADR”. She has since received appointment from the Benchmark Chambers International, the Base of the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China as a legal Expert.
