Louis joined Chambers as a tenant in October 2026 following the successful completion of his pupillage under the supervision of Kieran Brand and Lucy Luttman.
Louis has already developed a broad criminal practice and is regularly instructed to represent clients in a range of criminal proceedings in both the Crown and Magistrates’ Court. Louis is currently Grade 1 Prosecution Counsel, although often appears in matters typically reserved for Grade 2 advocates and beyond.
Louis also has experience in quasi-criminal regulatory work, often appearing for the Police, Local Authorities and the DVSA in a wide variety of hearings and applications, including those made in relation to Stalking Protection Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Forfeiture, POCA and Police Property Act.
Before commencing pupillage, Louis worked at two highly regarded law firms as a paralegal. The first was a criminal defence law firm in Kent and the second, a court of protection law firm in London. He has also volunteered for Advocate, the Bar’s charity, and represented litigants in person at East London Family Court as a part of the University of Law’s Legal Clinic.
Louis graduated from the University of Law with both a high distinction in the Bar Course, and a first-class degree in Law. He was awarded the University’s Dean award for the highest scoring Law degree as well as a Lord Denning Scholarship from Lincoln’s Inn.

R v SS – 2026
Instructed to prosecute a 2-day actus reus trial at Woolwich Crown Court, involving a novel point of law relating to the defendant’s capacity to understand a Sexual Offences Prevention Order.
R v HS – 2026

R v DH – 2026
Successful submission of no case to answer in a breach of non-molestation order trial, argued on the basis of the statutory defence of knowledge as to the existence of the order.
R v GU – 2026
Prosecuted a sentence for 19x domestic burglaries committed over the course of three years every winter. The defendant received 10 years’ imprisonment after credit. The case received national news coverage (hyperlinked to here https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgl33359zlo).
