John was representing a man accused of a decade of sexual abuse against his stepdaughter between the ages of 8 and 17. Her account described all manner of sexual abuse and alleged that he had raped her at least a hundred times. John’s effective cross-examination undermined her credibility and reliability such that the jury acquitted the defendant of all individual, specimen and multi-occasion counts in less than an hour.
